We the Pirates of Sealand, in Order to form a more free State, establish freedom, ensure safety and provide for common internet accces do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United Pirates of Sealand, Yarrr!!!

The executive Power shall be vested in the Pirate Captain. He shall hold his Office during the Term of two Years, and, together with the First-Mate chosen for the same Term, be elected, as follows:

[edit] Article Three: The Fundamental Rights
[edit] Irrevocablity
The Fundamental Rights and its clauses are at all times irrevocable. Irrevocablity does not however forbid amendment to The Fundamental Rights. Any law made in conflict with The Fundamental Rights shall be deemed unconstitutional and shall be nullified.

No one shall be subjected to torture or to inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment..
[edit] Right to life
Everyone's right to life shall be protected by law.
[edit] Prohibition of Slavery and Forced Labour
No one shall be held in slavery or servitude. No one shall be required to perform forced or compulsory labour.
[edit] Right to liberty and security
Everyone has the right to liberty and security of person, and no one shall be deprived of his liberty unless sanctioned by law.

All people have the right to practice the religion of their choice if they so desire. The governemnt shall not align its self with any one religion or favor any one religion, or group of religions, over another.

No person shall be denied equal treatment based on sex, race, religion, sexual orientation, class, wealth, ect.
[edit] Right to Free Expression
The Right for people to express themselves freely, unless it directly hurts others without their consent without limitation will not be removed.

People shall not be banned fron entering any relationships. regardless of age, sex, number, nationality, sexual orientation or other differences as long as it is consentual.

In the determination of his civil rights and obligations or of any criminal charge against him, everyone is entitled to a fair and public hearing within a month by an independent and impartial tribunal established by law. Judgment shall be pronounced publicly but the press and public may be excluded from all or part of the trial in the interests of morals, public order or national security in a democratic society, where the interests of juveniles or the protection of the private life of the parties so require, or to the extent strictly necessary in the opinion of the court in special circumstances where publicity would prejudice the interests of justice.

Everyone charged with a criminal offence shall be presumed innocent until proven guilty according to law.

Everyone charged with a criminal offence has the following minimum rights:

to be informed promptly, in a language which he understands and in detail, of the nature and cause of the accusation against him;

to have adequate time and facilities for the preparation of his defence;
[edit] Clause 2.3
to defend himself in person or through legal assistance of his own choosing or, if he has not sufficient means to pay for legal assistance, to be given it free when the interests of justice so require;

to examine or have examined witnesses against him and to obtain the attendance and examination of witnesses on his behalf under the same conditions as witnesses against him;

to have the free assistance of an interpreter if he cannot understand or speak the language used in court.
