[edit] Purpose

This page will outline the reasons behind why The Pirate Bay wishes to purchase land to become its own country.

The purpose is to establish a nation in which; 

 *TPB servers can be kept, and are not bound by any national laws regarding piracy.


 * A legitimate government, based on the ideals, opinions 
   and beliefs of freedom and mutual co-existence can be created.

 * A feasible, self supporting economy.



Note: It should be noted that something bigger then The Pirate Bay is going on here. Originally it was about Servers and TPB's goals of file sharing and freedoms. However, many of us feel the secondary purpose listed above is the bigger and more noble goal that we should be aspiring for. This is a chance to build a truly better society, using the expertise and motivation of its members to thrive as free human beings. TPB should be a part of that, but no longer the focus..
